Brandenburger Tor

Checkpoint Charlie

Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtniskirche (Memorial Church)

The Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Churchis a Protestant Church named after the grandfather of Kaiser Wilhelm II. The foundation-stone of the old church was laid on March 22, 1891 and opened on September 1, 1895. Reichstag

The Rechstag is the seat of the German Parliament and the Reichstag building was designed by Paul Wallot. It was constructed between 1884 and 1894. Emperor Wilhelm II added the engraving 'Dem DeutschenVolke' or ‘To the German People’ produced with bronze from French Cannons.

Rotes Rathaus

The Berlin Rotes Rathaus or Red Town Hall is the town hall of Berlin and home to the governing mayor and the Senate of Berlin of the Federal state of Berlin. It was designed by German architect Hermann Friedrich Waesemann.

Siegessäule | Victory Column

Berlin’s Siegessäule or Victory Column is located in front of the Reichstag building. It was constructed from 1864 to 1873 and was designed by Johann Heinrich Stack to honor the Prussian victory in the Prusso-Danish war of 1864.

Grosser Tiergarten

The Tiergarten or literally Animal Park is a district within the area of Mitte, in central Berlin. The Tiergarten inner-city park is 2.5 square kilometers wide and is presently the oldest and largest park in Berlin.
